Access to Private Education – Focus: Reduce school drop-out rates.

Provision of private education at affordable rates which is accessible to all, focusing on core academic subjects, but also character building and sport. Implement best practices in teaching methodologies and childcare within education facilities, ensuring a nurturing, holistic and effective learning environment.

Programs: Hidden Halos Education Hub (Grade 4-Grade 12), Hidden Gems (Grade R)

 

Access to Educational Programs - Focus: Reduce school drop-ou rates.

Provision of programs aimed at improving access to support for various barriers to education. In 2025 these will include a reading club aimed at improving litteracy as well as a youth mental health program aimed at providing resources and support for young people to address mental health as a barrier to learning. 

Programs: Reading Club, Inner Lion Program (Little Lions implementation partner)

 

Improved Academic Results – Focus: Access to opportunities post school.

Provide targeted educational support, leading to measurable improvements in academic performance among participating children. Provision of continuous tutoring and mentorship to ensure sustained academic success.

Programs: Homework Club, Winter School

 

Access to Post-School Opportunities – Focus: Realized full potential, breaking barriers to poverty.

Create pathways for post-school opportunities, including vocational training, further education, and employment prospects. Foster partnerships with local businesses and educational institutions to support transitions from school to career.

Programs: Career days, Introduction to the world of work program (Grade 9-12)

Hidden Halos has a few initiatives to generate income in order to ensure that the operational costs are covered – However, in order for us to truly make an impact and reach all of our beneficiaries, we rely on donations received from the corporate world and the community as well as volunteers! 

 

While we gladly accept monetary donations, we also appreciate donations in kind and particularly look for the following items:

  • Specific requests for fundraising and marketing initiatives

  • Stationery, educational supplies and furniture

  • Educational toys
